A meeting of representatives of "Uzbekistan Railways" with representatives of the Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan took place, the press service of the Association reported.

The railway workers spoke about the measures taken on the proposals of tour operators, put forward by them at a meeting of the working group in the Cabinet of Ministers on August 13, 2018.All issues were resolved in favor of the intensive development of tourism.

As a result, the following decisions were made:

• from September 1, 2018, during receiving group applications for booking seats and issuing travel documents, the provision of copies of passports will be canceled. At the same time, the approved list with data, as before, will be provided in duplicate;
• from August 20, 2018, the parking time of high-speed trains following the Tashkent-Bukhara-Tashkent route will be increased from 5 to 10 minutes to create favorable conditions for boarding large tourist groups in Samarkand;
• on the basis of the preliminary ticket office of the “Tashkent-Central” station, specialized ticket offices have been created to serve tourist organizations. At the station "Tashkent-Central" it is planned to open 4 ticket offices;
• canceled the collection of an additional fee for each seat issued from the reservation;
• the load on the Afrosiab trains will be reduced;
• from September 1, 2018, an extract of group travel documents on one form will be introduced;
• high-speed communication will be established in the direction Tashkent-Bukhara-Khiva. Negotiations are underway with the Spanish company TALGO and the Korean company HYUNDAI for the purchase of new electric trains for their appointment with the Tashkent - Bukhara - Khiva route.
