Samarkand is an oriental fairy tale with an original history, fantastic cuisine and hospitality. Exactly here from 02 to 04 and from 22 to 24 February were held training seminars «Training of representatives of the hotel business and tour operators in marketing sustainable tourism».

The event was organized by the Association of Private Tourism OrganizationAgencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) within the framework of the EU “Model for sustainable tourism in Central Asia: Building Capacities, Creating Awareness, Introducing technology” (“MOST”) project, funded by the European Union. Well-known experts in the field of tourism from Latvia and Greece shared their experience and practical marketing tips.

One of the honorary trainers was the Chairman of the Greek Cultural Center in Uzbekistan, former Executive Director of the Foundation for the Restoration of Byzantine Art (New York) Konstantinos Politis, who conducted trainings taking into account the rich tourism potential of our country.
