On November 18, the Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA), with the support of the European Union, held  Central Asian conference in Tashkent on the topic: "Rural tourism for sustainable economic development in Central Asia." The conference focused on topical problems of the rural tourism industry and the service sector, improving living conditions in rural regions by developing a sustainable and full-fledged model of ecotourism using local natural and recreational resources, the experience of leading countries, improving cooperation and sharing best practices at the national, regional and international levels, strengthening the relationship between business associations of Central Asia and the European Union for the development of small and private businesses. The conference was attended by representatives of ministries, international experts on environmental and rural tourism, representatives of regional CBT, international public organizations from countries such as Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Norway, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and journalists from domestic and foreign media.
