A series of webinars within the framework of the EC project “MOST - A model for sustainable tourism in Central Asia: Building Capacities, Creating Awareness, Introducing technology” funded by the European Union, has been successfully completed in Khorezm. The seminar was organized jointly by the Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) and the Department for Tourism Development of the Khorezm Region with the support of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development within the framework of the European Union initiative "Switch Asia".

The goal of the project is to increase the tourism potential of the countries of the Central Asian region. Uzbekistan became one of the 6 countries selected for the successful implementation of the project, the organization-executing of the project was chosen by APTA.

Participant certification training focuses on the following standards:

• ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management System);

• HCMI (Hotel Carbon Measurement Initiative). It is a methodology and toolkit designed for the hospitality industry;

• CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).

The seminars were attended by 60 representatives of the tourism sector.

Webinars will also be organized for hoteliers in Tashkent.
