On August 3-4 this year in Andijan at the « Hamkor Hotel » hotel within the framework of the «Silk Road CBT Initiative: Central Asian Community-Based Tourism and European Markets» of the European Union Program «Central Asia Invest V» hosted a 2-day workshop for the Community Based Tourism (CBT) Destination Development Working Group.

The seminar was organized by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Administration of the Andijan Region.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Andijan region, APTA, the colleagues from Tourism and Service of Andijan, as well as representatives of CBT and tour operators.

Within the framework of the 2-day seminar, the participants were presented with presentations on the activities of the APTA, on the goals of the above project and the objectives of this event for the development of CBT, branding issues, examples of successful CBT, CBT in Andijan region (features of the prerequisites, tasks for the development of CBT) were considered.

In the final part of the seminar, the proposals of the participants on the development of CBT were considered and consultations were held with representatives of the Main Department of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Andijan region.
 
Remind  that earlier seminars for the Working Groups on the development of the CBT destination were held in the Fergana and Namangan regions.
