Hotel owners are required to equip at least one room from the total number of rooms with conditions for people with disabilities.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev signed the Law "On the Rights of Persons with Disabilities" (No. 641 of 15.10.2020). The law defines the basic principles of ensuring the rights of persons with disabilities. In particular, the availability of hotel facilities.
According to this Law, hotel owners are required to equip at least one room of the total room stock available for wheelchair users, as well as to ensure the installation of displays and sound devices for announcements that meet the needs of people with hearing and vision disabilities.
This Law comes into force upon the expiration of three months from the date of its official publication, i.e. from 01/15/2021.
