A webinar was held with the participation of Spanish experts on the development of a certification system for tourist sites for epidemiological safety

The Institute for Tourism Development under the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development on May 13 held a webinar on the topic "New normality: the experience of Spain." The webinar was devoted to the development of tourism in the post-pandemic period, technologies for the restoration of tourism after quarantine and, in particular, the development and implementation of a certification system for tourist facilities for safety from the epidemic.

The webinar was attended by representatives of the Institute for Tourism Development, State Unitary Enterprise "Center for Certification of Tourism Services", the Association of private tourism agencies, as well as an international expert on sustainable tourism development, ex-head of the UNWTO Silk Road program, partner of the Institute for Tourism Development Alla Peresolova, President of the Institute for Quality in tourism (Spain) Miguel Mirones et al.

During the webinar, the international expert Alla Peresolova made a presentation "New normality: the experience of Spain", in which the expert focused on new trends and phenomena in the international market, the certification system in Spain, as well as the measures taken to introduce sanitary protocols (standards). During the presentation, the experience of Spain in the certification of tourist facilities for safety from COVID-19 was considered.

The President of the Institute for Quality in Tourism M. Mirones also spoke about the possibilities of developing the tourism industry in the post-quarantine period. Mirones gave a number of recommendations and expressed his readiness to assist Uzbekistan in solving issues related to the development and implementation of sanitary standards.

Also, during the online meeting, the technologies for restoring the country's tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic, the possibility of Uzbekistan to become one of the first directions of international tourism "Virus-Free" in Central Asia were discussed, and a number of other issues related to the development of the tourism industry were discussed.

As a result of the online meeting, the participants agreed on interaction and further cooperation in resolving issues of restoring the tourism industry in the post-pandemic period.
