As part of the pilot project 40 family guest houses in the Bukhara region were classified

In the period from February 5 to February 17 of this year, as part of a pilot project on the classification of family guest houses, a process of classification of 40 family guest houses in the Bukhara region was carried out.

The draft classifier for family guest houses, as well as the sign of rating stars and the certificate were developed by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (hereinafter referred to as APTА) as part of USAID Future Growth Initiative (FGI) project «Development of Community Based Tourism in Uzbekistan by improving the professional competence of rural residents.Phase II».

According to the results of the assessment of family guest houses, in accordance with the draft classifier, out of 40 family guest houses, a category (from one to three stars) was assigned to 19 family guest houses (47.5% of the above accommodation facilities - participants in the pilot project).

Recall that in total, within the framework of the USAID Project, 100 family guest houses will be classified free of charge, which have expressed a desire to become a participant in the pilot project and be assessed in accordance with the draft classifier.
