As part of the pilot project 31 family guest housеs in the Samarkand region were classified
In the period from February 26 to March 10 of this year, as part of a pilot project on the classification of family guest houses, a process of classification of 31 family guest houses in the Samarkand region was carried out.
The draft classifier for family guest houses, as well as the sign of rating stars and the certificate were developed by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan ( APTA) as part of USAID's Future Growth Initiative (FGI) project «Development of Community Based Tourism in Uzbekistan by improving the professional competence of rural residents.Phase II».
According to the results of the assessment of family guest houses, in accordance with the draft classifier, out of 31 family guest houses, a category (from one to three stars) was assigned to 16 family guest houses (51.6% of the above accommodation facilities - participants in the pilot project).
Recall that in total, within the framework of the USAID's Project, 100 family guest houses will be classified free of charge, which have expressed a desire to become a participant in the pilot project and be assessed in accordance with the draft classifier.
