Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on the development of domestic and pilgrim tourism

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On measures for the further development of domestic and pilgrim tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan." "Spot" collected the main thing from the document.

Transport

New flights will be launched within a month:

Fergana-Urgench-Fergana.
Termez-Urgench-Termez.
Karshi-Urgench-Karshi.

The number of railway connections between Andijan-Khiva-Andijan will be increased.

By April 1, regular railway services will be launched in the following directions:

Termez-Karshi-Khiva.
Khiva-Urgench-Nukus.
Termez-Karshi-Samarkand.

They will be subsidized by the authorities, as will flights from Tashkent to Bukhara, Nukus, Termez and Urgench and to the Fergana Valley.

Flights of foreign airlines to Uzbekistan, providing for the organization of travel of foreign tourists from Indonesia, Bangladesh and Malaysia to the country, as well as under the Umra + program, are carried out without hindrance, except for takeoff and landing safety rules.

Business benefits

Benefits and preferences are extended until December 31, 2021:

the income tax rate is reduced by 50% of the established rates for tour operators, travel agents, as well as accommodation facilities;
expenses of tour operators for air and train tickets are partially subsidized - 30% of their cost (there is a condition - organizing a tour to Uzbekistan for foreign tourist groups of at least 10 people and their stay
at least five overnight stays in accommodation facilities);
for tour operators, travel agents and tourism entities providing hotel services (accommodation services):
exemption from payment of land tax from legal entities and property tax of legal entities;
establishing the payment of social tax by them at a reduced rate of 1%.

Until the same date, the application of fines for overdue receivables from foreign trade transactions in relation to tour operators, travel agents and accommodation facilities is suspended.

Tourist tax

Since March 1, it is paid not only by foreigners, but also by citizens of Uzbekistan.

Extra days off

During the celebration of Navruz, Independence Day and New Year, as well as "Ramazon Hayit" and "Kurban Hayit", at least three non-working days are established due to additional and postponed non-working days;

A family travel leave system of at least five working days is being introduced, involving travel with parents, relatives, the elderly and mentors.

At the same time, “family travel leave” is provided at the expense of the main annual leave with the consent of the employer and in accordance with collective agreements.

Visa-free regime

From March 1, 2021, a visa-free regime is established for a period of 10 days for citizens:

Bahrain;
Qatar;
Kuwait;
Oman;
China (including Hong Kong and Macau).

There is a condition - the presentation of air tickets for departure to their own or to a third country.

Personnel

From the 2021/2022 academic year at the Silk Road International Tourism University, Tashkent State Economic University, Bukhara and Termez State Universities, a magistracy is opening in pilgrim tourism, transport logistics and creative industry.
