Visa-free travel extended to a number of countries
From March, citizens of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and China, including Hong Kong SAR and Macau, will be able to enter Uzbekistan without a visa for a period of 10 days.
From March 1, Uzbekistan introduces a visa-free regime for a period of 10 days for citizens of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and China, including the special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macau of the PRC.
This is provided by the presidential decree "On measures for the further development of domestic and pilgrim tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated February 9.
Entry to the territory of Uzbekistan without visas is possible subject to the presentation of air tickets for departure to their own or to a third country.
From January 1, 2020, for citizens of China, including the Hong Kong SAR, a visa-free regime of entry into Uzbekistan is in effect for a period of 7 days (after the entry into force of the new decree - 10 days). Now a visa-free regime has been established with 86 countries.
