A presentation was held on the development of the tourism potential of Samarkand
On February 11, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a presentation on the development of tourism potential and pilgrimage tourism in Samarkand.
On February 9 of this year, the Head of State signed a decree "On measures for the further development of domestic and pilgrim tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan." The document defines the tasks for diversifying tourism products and services, expanding and improving the quality of transport services, creating favorable conditions for tourists.
Samarkand has a huge tourism potential. For its implementation in the region, comprehensive work is being carried out to develop the tourism infrastructure.
In particular, a tourist complex is being created in the Samarkand region, which will include 8 modern hotels, a large conference hall, restaurants, parks and alleys.
The streets connecting this tourist center with the international airport and railway station of Samarkand, the Mausoleum of Imam Bukhari, Registan square and other sights are being renovated.
To develop the tourist potential of Samarkand, 10 new hotels are being built.
The Head of State got acquainted with the presentation and gave instructions on the development of transport, road and communication infrastructure, improvement of the city of Samarkand, expansion of trade services and services.
