The leadership of Uzbekistan Airways and Uzbekistan Airports changed

The "Uzbekistan Airways" company is headed by the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov. Rano Dzhuraeva became the chairman of the board of Uzbekistan Airports, who in different years managed the Russian S7 Space and the Center for the Operation of Ground Space Infrastructure Facilities (an enterprise of Roscosmos).

Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov became the Chairman of the board of Uzbekistan Airways. He will combine two positions - minister and head of the airline, a source in the government told Gazeta.uz.

Ilkhom Makhkamov (born in 1979, graduate of the Tashkent Automobile and Road Construction Institute and the Academy of State and Public Construction under the President) since October last year served as the Minister of Transport, and on February 22 was approved by the Рead of the Ministry of Transport.

Previously, he held the positions of the general director of the territorial communal and operational association of Tashkent, the general director of the "Uzkommunkhizmat" agency and the head of the information and analytical department of the Cabinet of Ministers for the utilities, transport, capital construction and construction industry.

Prior to that, since January 2018, Uzbekistan Airways was headed by Bakhtiyor Khakimov.

Rano Frunzevna Dzhuraeva became the chairman of the board of Uzbekistan Airports. On Monday, Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov presented her appointment, a source to Gazeta.uz confirmed in the Cabinet of Ministers.

After graduating from the Moscow Aviation Institute and postgraduate studies in 1986, Rano Dzhuraeva defended her Ph.D. thesis on the calculations of the dynamics of the flight of unmanned aerial vehicles. Studied international economic relations at the Russian Foreign Trade Academy. She studied financial management strategies at Harvard Business School.

In addition, Rano Dzhuraeva also headed the Center for Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Objects (an enterprise of Roskosmos). From March 31, 2019 to March 2020, she worked as the General Director of LLC C7 Space Transport Systems.

Uzbekistan Airports has been headed by Rovshan Ismailov since October 2019.
