The amount of subsidies to stimulate domestic tourism has been approved
Accordingly, air and rail routes will be subsidized by 25% of the cost of domestic flights and 15% of the cost of air and rail tickets for tours organized by tour operators and travel agents for domestic tourists.
The special commission also approved the maximum size of the cost of tickets for 10 subsidized flights. Thus, if the cost of a ticket for the Samarkand-Namangan flight is 666 782 soums, then the maximum ticket price due to the subsidy will be 500 086 soums, and the cost of a ticket when purchased through a tour operator will be 425 073 soums.
The Andijan-Khiva-Andijan, Termez-Karshi-Khiva and Termez-Karshi-Samarkand routes purchased by tour operators and travel agents as part of the tour are included in subsidized routes.
At the same time, in accordance with the decision of the Special Commission in accordance with the tasks provided for in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 109 of April 13, 2021, discounts for group purchases remain at 10% for groups of 10 to 24 people and 15% for groups of 25 and more people.
According to the decision of the special commission, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Natural Monopolies" and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 964 dated December 3, 2019, it was established that in the event of a change in prices (tariffs) for tickets for passenger trains, this topic will be widely covered on official sites of OJSC "Uzbekiston Temir Yullari", the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, as well as in the media and other Internet publications.
Also, the resolution approved the maximum level (volume) of subsidized rates for hotel services in the country in the amount of 250,000 thousand soums.
It was noted that the maximum volume of subsidized hotel services in the amount of 10% during a tour organized by a tour operator and travel agent in the country should not exceed 25 thousand soums.
The signing of the President's decree on the development of domestic and pilgrimage tourism enabled the population of the Fergana Valley to travel to Bukhara, Samarkand and the Khorezm region, and the population of the above territories - to the Fergana Valley.
In particular, in the first month of the Urgench-Fergana-Urgench flight, which was launched in February of this year, the use of aircraft was 43.7%, and as a result of additional opportunities for tour operators and travel agents, the use of aircraft in March was 87.9%. , which doubled the statistics.
It should be noted that in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 6165 of February 9, 2021 "On measures for the further development of domestic and pilgrim tourism in the Republic of Uzbekistan" payments for the above subsidies will be reimbursed for trips organized from March 1, 2021.
