How does APTA prepare recommendations for family guesthouses?
APTA conducts a survey among the owners of family guest houses. We will tell you why this is needed and how it happens.
APTA specialists, together with representatives of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Tashkent Department for Tourism Development, have already visited family guest houses in three districts of Tashkent (Chilanzar, Sergeli, Yakkasaray). Next in line is a visit to the village of Konigil near Samarkand.
Visiting the places, personally observing how the activities of the guest house are organized and sanitary standards are observed, you can get a real picture.
The survey will allow monitoring and analyzing the activities of family guest houses, the functioning of the enterprise during a pandemic.
What questions do experts study in the course of the survey?
- organization of the enterprise during a pandemic;
- ensuring sanitary and hygienic safety of local and foreign tourists during their travels during a pandemic;
- promotion of services of family guest houses in the travel services market.
This data will be used to develop recommendations for the provision of safe services to tourists in family guest houses as part of the implementation of the "Uzbekistan.Safe travel Guaranteed" system. The study is being conducted within the framework of the USAID's Future Growth Initiative project.
It should be noted that the activities of family guest houses are important for ensuring employment of the local population and the further development of domestic tourism. And the provision of sanitary and hygienic safe services to tourists is a mandatory factor in ensuring their health in the context of an epidemiological situation associated with the threat of the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19.
