Prospects for further development of tourism were discussed

On May 25 of this year, the Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov held a meeting with the chairman of the Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) Gulchekhra Israilova.
At the meeting, issues related to expanding the capabilities of our country in the field of domestic and international tourism, improving the quality of services provided, increasing the flow of tourists visiting our country were discussed in detail.
Representatives of the country's tourism industry at the meeting exchanged views with leaders of the systemic organization of the Ministry of Transport on the problematic issues that arise in the course of their activities, and their solutions.
In particular, the discussion focused on issues related to the condition of roads leading to existing tourist sites in each regional section, and the condition of roadside infrastructure facilities, issues related to transport and logistics, ensuring the regularity of flights on local and international routes, advanced training of service personnel at transport facilities and transport infrastructure, expanding the range of digital technologies and services in the industry.
In order to resolve the issues raised at the meeting, an agreement was reached on the creation of a working group headed by the adviser to the Minister of Transport for the development of logistics and tourism and further coordination of joint work.
