Growing potential of CBT tourism in the Jizzakh region received an educational impetus

The Jizzakh region has a unique nature and many historical and archaeological sites that attract great interest from tourists. The ethnography, unique traditions and customs of the people make Jizzakh even more attractive.

The development of tourism potential, especially in rural areas of the country, is an important component of socio-economic development in the short and long term. An important direction in developing the country's tourist potential is the creation of unique tourist offerings.

The Association of private tourism organizations of Uzbekistan (APTA), with the support of the USAID's Future Growth Initiative project, successfully implements the program "Development of CBT Tourism in Uzbekistan by increasing professional competencies of rural population". Taking into account the high interest of business circles and the high tourist potential of the Jizzakh region, 4 training seminars were organized simultaneously in promising CBT tourism destinations in the Jizzach region, in which 85 participants took part. Owners of family guest houses and families who want to open such guest houses had the opportunity in the village of "Duoba" in the Jizzakh region to improve their skills and competencies as part of a five-day training course.

Those attending the seminars found that having completed the training enabled them to broaden their horizons and knowledge, which will help improve service and attract more tourists.
