The Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan and the Certification Center for Tourism Services under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan will jointly implement the further implementation of the HCMI environmental technology system in the tourism sector of Uzbekistan. This initiative is being implemented within the framework of the project“Model for sustainable tourism in Central Asia: Building Capacities, Creating Awareness, Introducing technology” (“MOST”), funded by the European Union and supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan. The strategic goal of the project is to increase environmental awareness and introduce environmental standards into the tourism business of Central Asian countries.

As part of the joint work, it is planned to implement the HCMI system, which will allow accommodation facilities to uniformly measure and report carbon emissions. Moreover, it is planned to introduce and install 30 Shelly 3M smart energy and water meters, as well as sensors for recording and monitoring conditions in Shelly H&T premises, which will optimize the budget for utilities and increase the attractiveness of services for European tourists.
