A working meeting on the development of the CBT destination was held in Bukhara

On February 6 this year, a working meeting of specialists from the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) with representatives of the General Directorate of Tourism of the Bukhara region on the development of a community-based tourism destination (CBT) was held in Bukhara.
 
The working meeting was organized by the APTA with the support of the General Directorate of Tourism of the Bukhara region in the framework of the USAID Future Growth Initiative Project “Development of CBT tourism in Uzbekistan, through increasing the professional competencies of rural residents. Phase II.

Within the framework of this meeting, APTA expert Frank Ludwig presented a presentation “The importance of CBT in tourism. Best practices of foreign countries. How to develop CBT in Uzbekistan and in the Bukhara region” and covered such topics as: Basic knowledge about CBT, Branding, examples of successful CBT.
 
Also, conversations were held on the development of their own tourism product, proposals from participants on the development of CBT were considered.
 
Following the results of the working meeting, the APTA expert held final consultations.
