On February 27-28 this year, within the framework of the USAID's "Future Growth Initiative" "Development of Community Based Tourism in Uzbekistan by improving the professional competence of rural residents" (Phase 2) in Samarkand, a training seminar was held for representatives of the CBT .

A 2-day seminar - training "Classification of family guest houses - as an effective tool for attracting tourists" was organized by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTА) with the support of the General Department of Tourism of the Samarkand region.

During the training, the participants covered the following topics:
- Classification in tourism. Classification of accommodation facilities. Goals and objectives of the classification of accommodation facilities;
- Classification of guest houses / family guest houses - an effective tool for attracting tourists and increasing competitiveness (marketing, business development);
- Development by APTA experts of a draft classifier for family guests in Uzbekistan;
- Approbation of the classifier option in family guest houses in Uzbekistan.

And also the representatives of CBT were presented with a version of the classifier and the badge of rating stars.

As a result of the training seminar, the participants were awarded with certificates.
