In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, the owners of family guest houses, participants in the pilot project, were awarded certificates of assigning a category to a family guest house
On June 23 of this year, in the Khorezm region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, certificates were awarded to the owners of family guest houses for assigning a category to a family guest house.
Categories (from one to three stars) were assigned to family guest houses based on the results of the classification, which took place as part of a pilot project on the classification of family guest houses.
Certificates were presented to the owners of family guest houses by the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Karakalpakstan Bayram Kusekeyev and the Chief Specialist of the Department for the expansion of tourism infrastructure, services and business development in the regions, the Main Department of Culture and Tourism of the Khorezm region Rajabov Anvar.
The draft classifier for family guest houses, as well as the badge of rating stars and the certificate were developed by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan as part of the USAID Future Growth Initiative (FGI) Project.
Based on the results of the assessment of family guest houses in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, in accordance with the draft classifier, out of 6 family guest houses, a category (from one to three stars) was assigned to three family guest houses (50% of the number of accommodation facilities - participants in the pilot project in the Republic Karakalpakstan).
Among them: one family guest house was assigned the category "two stars" and 2 family guest houses were assigned the category "one star".
Based on the results of the assessment of family guest houses in the Khorezm region, in accordance with the draft classifier, out of 23 family guest houses, a category (from one to three stars) was assigned to 15 family guest houses (65.2% of the number of accommodation facilities - participants in the pilot project in the Khorezm region).
Of these, one family guest house was assigned the category "three stars", 8 family guest houses were assigned the category "two stars" and 6 family guest houses were assigned the category "one star".
The certificate of category assignment by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan is valid for three years from the date of issue.
