On tourism development plans for the next seven years

Shavkat Mirziyoyev, candidate for President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, spoke about plans for the development of tourism for the next seven years during a meeting with voters in Samarkand.

“We pay special attention to the development of domestic tourism. By 2030, all opportunities will be used to ensure that at least 25 million of our population travel around our country,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev also said that “one new job created in the tourism sector will stimulate the creation of two more jobs in other sectors”.

Respectively:

✅at all international airports, foreign tourists will receive a refund of value added tax for items purchased in Uzbekistan;

✅tour operators who bring tourists from abroad, as well as exporting companies, are provided with a full refund of value added tax;

✅transport of tour operators will be provided with convenient travel conditions along tourist routes and city sites;

✅it is allowed to pay value added tax for tourist vehicles imported from abroad for 3 years without interest and in installments;

✅Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that daily flights from the Fergana Valley to the cities of Tashkent, Nukus, Bukhara and Urgench will be increased.

Based on private partnership:

  • companies are created to provide intercity bus transportation on a national scale;
  • new tourist routes will be opened, such as the “Tourist Ring of the Golden Valley”, “Ring of Forts” through Khorezm and Karakalpakstan, connecting the regions and cities of the valley;
  • the good neighbor policy will be continued, and the tourism potential of the Nanai region in Namangan and Shakhimardan in the Fergana region will be fully used;
  • Another 4 thousand hotels, guest houses and hostels will be created in the regions, and the number of guest places will be increased at least twice.
