Online round table with Guangzhou Tourism Association was held

On May 10 this year, an online meeting was held, which brought together representatives of the Chinese Guangzhou Tourism Association, the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA), the Tajik Association of Community-Based Tourism (TACBT), the Kazakhstan Tourism Association (KTA), the Kyrgyz Association of Tourism Organizations (KATO), as well as representatives of the international project “World Travel Chat” - the organizers of this meeting.

This online roundtable was the first step to promote Silk Road tourist destinations.

The main goal of the event was to develop the tourism potential of the Silk Road countries, in particular Uzbekistan, and to establish ties between Uzbek and Central Asian tour operators and their counterparts from China. The participants discussed prospects and opportunities for cooperation, which became an important step towards expanding tourism ties and attracting new tourist flows.

APTA representatives shared information about the Association's activities and future plans, including the upcoming Tashkent Travel Mart-2024 tourism exhibition scheduled for this autumn.

The meeting revealed significant interest in further cooperation and development of tourism initiatives. The Chinese side expressed readiness to plan joint activities with APTA, which includes not only cultural and informational exchanges, but also practical steps to develop tourism.
