Completion of the cycle of seminars on classification of family guest houses

On May 23 this year in Rishtan city (Fergana region) the cycle of seminars on classification of family guest houses was completed.

Thirty-two representatives of CBT (Community-Based Tourism) participated in the seminar, which was held within the framework of the USAID Future Growth Initiative Project.

The city of Rishtan was chosen for the event for a reason. This ancient city of artisans is the oldest center of ceramic art in Central Asia, where a unique technology of creating ceramic products was developed.

The organizers of the seminar were the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) with the support of the Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Regional Department for Tourism Development of Fergana region.

APTA experts conducted work aimed at improving the work of family guest houses. Special attention was paid to advocacy work to attract women to manage and work in family guesthouses.

The participants were exposed to important topics such as:
- «Classification in Tourism»
- «Classification of family guesthouses»
- «Parameters and criteria for assessing the quality of services»
- «Classifier Development: The Process of Creating a Classification System»
- «Approbation of the classifier variant: Practical application of the developed system.»

The seminar ended with the presentation of certificates to all participants, confirming the successful completion of the training. These certificates are an important recognition of their commitment to improving service and raising hospitality standards.

The completion of this cycle of seminars is a significant step in the development of tourism in the region, which in turn will attract more tourists to family guesthouses in Fergana region.
