APTA experts introduced Bukhara University students to the fascinating world of travel journalism

On May 30 this year, Bukhara State University hosted a seminar training on travel journalism on the topic “Travel journalism: specifics of the direction and prospects of development”.
The event, organized by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) under the USAID's Future Growth Initiative project, brought together 30 students interested in this fascinating genre of journalism.
Travel journalism is a specialized genre that focuses on describing travel, cultures, attractions, and travelers' experiences. Travel journalists create compelling articles, photos and videos, conveying the atmosphere of places and their uniqueness. This genre helps readers and viewers discover new destinations, plan trips and learn about the diversity of the world.
The aim of the seminar was to develop and popularize travel journalism among young people, giving aspiring journalists and bloggers the opportunity to delve deeper into the specifics and prospects of this dynamic field. APTA experts and journalists shared their knowledge and experience, helping participants learn the key skills and techniques needed to create quality travel content.
During the seminar, it was also announced the launch of a contest for the best travel journalism articles and videos. This contest will give all travel and travel writing enthusiasts an opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity and be recognized for their efforts and talent.
The event has become a significant step towards the development of sustainable tourism and popularization of travel journalism in Uzbekistan, inspiring young professionals to create vivid and informative travel materials.
