Classification of Family Guest Houses in Kashkadarya Region: Results of the First Wave
In Kashkadarya region under The USAID Future Growth Initiative, the process of classifying family guesthouses has been completed. This event was initiated by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) and supported by the Regional Department for Tourism Development of Kashkadarya Region in order to improve the quality of services and competitiveness of family guesthouses, which, in turn, contributes to the development of the tourism industry in the region.
Seven family guest houses took part in the classification. Of these, two houses received categories indicating the high level of services provided and compliance with hospitality standards.
The first house, which distinguished itself for its comfort and quality of service, received three stars. This indicates the high standards of service, convenience and safety that guests can expect when visiting this guest house.
The second house was awarded two stars, also indicating a decent level of service and meeting the basic requirements for family guesthouses. The guest house with this category provides its guests with cozy living conditions and the necessary minimum amenities for a comfortable stay.
The classification project developed by the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan includes a system of rating stars and certificates, which helps guest houses to improve their services and attract more tourists. Family guesthouses that have received star categories will be placed on the official website cbtuzbekistan.uz, which will allow them to become more visible and in demand among tourists.
