A unique audio-performance excursion “The Voice of Khiva” was launched in Khiva
On August 15, a significant event in the tourism and cultural life of the city took place in Khiva - an audio performance-excursion to the main sights of Khiva called “The Voice of Khiva” was presented.
This innovative project allows residents and guests of the city to immerse themselves in the fascinating history of Khiva and its majestic buildings, which are unique not only in the East, but also in the whole world. “The Voice of Khiva” is not just another tour, but a real theatrical journey with a deep immersion into the past.
The audio play is based on documentary and historical sources available in archives and published on the Internet. Voiced by professional actors, it turns a walk around the city into a real theatrical performance, where each monument “ revives” and tells its amazing story of origin. Khiva, with its rich cultural heritage, appears before the audience as a whole open-air museum, filled with surround sound and inexpressible atmosphere.
The excursion starts from the main gate of the city - Ata Darvoza, which hospitably opens before the visitors, opening the way to the unique architectural masterpieces of Khiva. Each corner of the city, each building tells its own story, immersing listeners in the atmosphere of the ancient East.
The creator of “The Voice of Khiva” project, Evgenya Yatskina, was born and grew up in Tashkent.
Evgenya is a filmmaker who creates movies and TV series in Russia and CIS countries. Her world view and talent as a storyteller added depth and artistic expression to “The Voice of Khiva”.
