Business dinner with the Ambassador of Iran and representatives of APTA

On November 20, representatives of Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) took part in a business dinner with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran and tour operators. The main topic of discussion was the strengthening of tourism ties between Uzbekistan and Iran, as well as expansion of cooperation in the field of tourism.

The main topics of the meeting were:
-Increasing tourist flow
Special attention was paid to the issues of increasing mutual trips of tourists. The participants noted the availability of direct flights, which creates convenient conditions for traveling between the countries.
-Organization of infotours and participation in exhibitions
Possibilities of organizing infotours for tour operators and media representatives, as well as active participation in international tourism exhibitions were considered. These steps are aimed at promoting the tourism opportunities of both countries.
-Involvement of Influencers and Bloggers
The ambassador stressed the importance of attracting travel bloggers and Influencers to popularize Iran as a tourist destination. Modern media tools can significantly increase travelers' interest in the country's cultural and natural attractions.
-Visa-free regime
A pleasant news for the participants was a reminder that citizens of Uzbekistan can visit Iran without a visa for up to two weeks. This fact makes travel more affordable and convenient.
-Development of medical tourism
Iran is known for its developed healthcare system and highly qualified specialists. The two sides discussed the possibilities of developing medical tourism, which can become an important area of cooperation.

The meeting was an important step towards strengthening ties between Uzbekistan and Iran in the tourism sector. Both sides expressed confidence that joint efforts will significantly increase tourist flows, establish cultural exchange and create new opportunities for business partnership.
