The II meeting of the Joint Uzbek-Turkish Tourism Commission was held

On October 13, the II meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Joint Tourism Commission was held in Antalya (Turkey).
 
The event was attended by a delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan N. Zikrillaev and representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkey. Officials of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, as well as the Turkish Tourism Association, were present from Turkey.
 
At the end of the event, bilateral negotiations (G2B) were held with major non-governmental organisations such as the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), the Turkish Association of Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), the Turkish Association of Hotel Owners (TÜROB), the Mediterranean Association of Tourist Hotels (AKTOB).

The Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (hereinafter APTA) held negotiations with three tourism associations in Turkey: TÜROB, AKTOB and TÜRSAB. Following the meetings, the parties exchanged contacts and emphasised their readiness to cooperate and strengthen relations.

Reference: TÜRSAB - Association of Turkish Travel Agencies is a professional organisation with the status of a legal entity established in 1972. The main objectives of the Association are to develop the activities of the travel agency in harmony with the economy and tourism sector of the country, as well as to protect professional ethics and solidarity.
 
TÜROB - The Turkish Hotel Association was founded in 1971. The main purpose of TÜROB is:
- conducting scientific and practical research on issues, problems and solutions related to tourism;
- ensuring the development of tourist facilities in accordance with tourism requirements and changing trends
- Ensuring coordination with departments, agencies, organisations and individuals, among their members and tourism-related organisations.
 
AKTOB - The Union of Mediterranean Tourist Hoteliers was founded in 1984 due to the requirement of a systematic structure of the union in the accommodation sector. The trade union works on the principle of centralised meetings with national and international institutions and organisations in the sector, with and accession to service providers on the basis of three goals: quality, modernity and leadership. AKTOB has 504 members and has more than 150,000 rooms and 320 thousand beds. It is one of the largest organised structures in the accommodation sector.
