Signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Latvian Rural Tourism Association

On October 24 this year, at the office of the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTА), a meeting was held between APTА specialists and representatives of the Latvian Rural Tourism Association "Country traveler" - RuralTour experts Andris Vaivods and Zane Vaivode.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of possible cooperation in the field of further development of community-based tourism (CBT-tourism), marketing, research, exchange of experience and management of enterprises and associations of CBT-tourism.

As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two associations.

Recall that from October 18 to October 22, 2022, experts of the European Rural Tourism Federation - RuralTour (Eurogites) Andris Vaivods and Zane Vaivode as part of a visit organized by ACTED with the support of the Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan within the framework of the European Union Program "Central Asia Invest V” of the Project: “Community-Based Tourism Initiative on the Silk Road: Creating Links between Community-Based Tourism in Central Asia and the European Market” visited Andijan, Ferghana and Namangan regions. RuralTour experts studied the potential of CBT in three regions of the country and provided consulting support to local CBT representatives.
