Improving coaching competencies is the key to the success of the project

The Association of private tourism agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA) is successfully implementing the project "Development of CBT Tourism in Uzbekistan by increasing professional competencies of rural population" with the support of the USAID's Future Growth Initiative.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to organize a number of training seminars in promising CBT tourism destinations in Bukhara, Jizzakh and Samarkand regions, where it is planned to conduct educational events for owners of family guest houses and participants in the CBT chain. A three-day training for APTA trainers was aimed at increasing coaching competencies, which took place on May 5-7, 2021 in the APTA conference hall.

The careful selection of trainers to deliver the training is critical to the success of the project. However, not every good coach can be a coach in every field. At the same time, it is also true that not everyone with knowledge of the subject will necessarily be a good coach. Therefore, it is important for the participants of the training to get a clear understanding of the specifics of CBT tourism at the end of the course. Therefore, the trainers leading the training should be able to convey to the participants confidence in their abilities during the training process, as well as clear and detailed information regarding the subject of the course, which the participants will subsequently teach to others.

Participants of the three-day training for trainers noted that the completed training course will help to understandably and competently share experience, create interesting, useful and interactive trainings, manage a group of participants, and inspire people to transfer new knowledge into practical life.
