An online forum of the heads of the Tourism Associations of the ECO member countries was held
On June 20 this year, an online forum of the heads of the Tourism Associations of the member countries of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) was held.
The online event was organized to discuss cooperation between tour operators and hotel associations.
The Association of Private Tourism Agencies of Uzbekistan (APTA)also took part in the forum. A specialist of the Association presented a presentation of the APTA and put forward proposals for strengthening regional cooperation in the field of tourism.
During the forum, the participants discussed issues of cooperation in the field of tourism, including in the following areas: creating a network of tour operators, connecting to a destination and preparing joint tour packages, developing a program for regional tourism professionals, holding events (fairs, exhibitions in the region and at the international level meetings and seminars), promoting the ECO Silk Road initiative, creating a single regional tourism brand (including advertising and promotion).
In the final part of the online forum, the participants made proposals for the development of cooperation in the field of tourism within the framework of the ECO and recommendations for their implementation.
